"We completely are impressed with the service and performance of our ESS sprayer. Not only are we saving 30 to 35% on chemicals, we have noticed our row crops have been larger and healthier this season . We also saw a substantial increase in size, color and quality of our grapes this year, we can only conclude this is to the increased penetration and coverage we receive from the electrostatics on our ESS sprayer. Great Machine!"

"...When we first ran the ESS sprayer in our orange grove without the electrostatic charge turned on, the amount of mist produced was 10 times that of our old fogger and when my operator turned on the 'Charge' switch all the mist went to the tree canopy like a magnet—very impressive. Canopy penetration was just what we were looking for. That little demonstration sold me on the sprayer's potential..."

"Changing over to ESS has greatly increased coverage and efficacy of our spray program. Our first miticide application for the season was our last. Another advantage to ESS is the ability to cover twice as much ground per hour than our conventional sprayers. Thank you ESS for saving me time and money!"

"The coverage on our berries has been outstanding and the chemical savings has made the sprayers well worth the investment."

"This week Belco finished the harvest season for Table Grapes. It was a good season for us in terms of quantity and quality, always supplying the best fruit to our customers. Many factors are components of a good season and one of them was the ESS technology. For that reason we would like to say thank you guys for the idea, for the machine, for the professional attitude and technical support we received from you guys this season.

In E. sweet we have got some results I would like to show:
Season 2007, conventional deeping of Gibb and PGR:

-AA (20mm+) 17.5%
-A (18-20mm) 59.0%
-B (under 18 mm) 23.5%

Season 2008, ESS spray for Gibb and PGR:
In my personal opinion this variation in comparison with last season is a big success related to the ESS technology. We have to say also the grapes bunches got better looking and are better quality this season. In the same time, the efficiency of the technology in the farms operations has a direct impact on the cost reduction.

-AA (20mm+) 50.2%
-A (18-20mm) 39.1%
-B (under 18 mm) 10.7%

I think ESS have a huge potential in Egypt in all kind of crops is for that reason you are always welcome to continue working with Belco in the long term.";

Cabbage

"The ESS half rate application required the same number of treatments but it used half as much material to provide the same level of control."
— Dr. Richard Derksen
Cornell University

"Efficacy of Xen Tari increased 2-fold when applied with the ESS Electrostatic Sprayer."
— Dr. Carlos Perez & Dr. Anthony Shelton

"We have reduced our pesticide rates by 50–66%. It costs $300 per acre for chemicals to spray cabbage, so we are really able to cut costs."
— Joey Tucker
Owner Moultrie, GA

"The ESS sprayer is a very well built machine. In the past three years we have had no problems other than replacing one gauge. There is very little maintenance except for general cleaning. It works very well with all our crops such as lettuce, peppers, tomatoes, cabbage and spinach.

Since we have been using the ESS sprayer we have been steadily reducing our spray bills per acre each year. The biggest advantage we have seen is the reduced disease pressure and increased crop quality in all our vegetables. We spend less time in the field spraying due to less fill-up time because of the low volume (gpa) rates per acre."

Onions

"We used Bravo, Manzates and Diathanes on our onions & cabbage. We have saved 25–30% on our pesticides and improved our disease control and bug kill."
— McNair & Powell Farms

"Our leaf surface coverage is improved with the ESS Sprayer. We are saving 25–30% on pesticides."

"I keep my nozzles about 12 inches above the canopy facing forward and vine kill is excellent."

"Air assist & electrostatic sprayers achieve excellent coverage. ESS was the most effective for both the 1995 & 1996 season trials."
— Dr. William Fry

"Papen Farms has been using an ESS sprayer since 1995. In 2003 we bought our second sprayer.
The advantages of the ESS sprayer are:

  • Time saved by not having to haul large amounts of water
  • Getting better coverage
  • Getting better insect control
  • Getting over the fields in one-third the time of conventional sprayer"

— John C. Papen
Owner, Papen Farms, Inc. Dover, DE

"The [ESS 450RC] sprayer’s coverage on top and bottom sides of the leaves is surpassed by none. With this type of coverage I was able to cut some rates on pesticides and fungicides up to 50%.Time is also an issue in spraying vegetables and with some minor modifications to my 70’ boom, I am able to spray 20 acres in about an hour. The control box in the cab is set up with an individual side to side tilt, not a solid boom adjustment. This option makes maneuvering much easier with rolling terrain and stakes. Maintenance is fairly minimal and [ESS] was willing to assist with any issues along the way. Over all we are pleased with the purchase."

Peppers

"We used ten times less water and get better coverage. We saved enough on chemicals to pay for the sprayer in four months."
— Mark Dubois
Boynton Beach, FL

Potatoes

"The highest percentage of leaf area coverage was observed on the underside of leaves treated with the ESS Sprayer."
— Dr. Richard Derksen
Cornell University

Squash

"Could we demonstrate a difference between ESS & hydraulic sprayers in terms of better foliage & fruit disease control & higher marketable yields? "Yes, and significant in most cases."
— Dr. Thomas Zitter
Cornell University

"The ESS is an excellent piece of equipment [ESS Sprayer Model 350RC]. You get great coverage and save time by not having to make so many trips to fill up your tank because you spray less gallons per acre. You also spend less time overall spraying your crops and reduce your spraying costs. It works well on all our crops, i.e. Pumpkins, sweet corn, tomatoes, peppers, summer squash and winter squash. No problems have occurred with nozzle clogging. I highly recommend this piece of equipment."
— Art Hawkes
Owner, Mazza Farms Colchester, VT

"I BELIEVE IN THE TECHNOLOGY of the Electrostatic Spraying Systems SC-1 and XT-3 Sprayers. I’ve never seen a product that can disperse the chemicals we need to use to fight MRSA and Staph so effectively. The [electrostatic] nozzle is truly amazing! I believe in providing our players with the best protection against staph and other bacteria commonly found in our profession. The ongoing problem of fighting bacteria and fungus now has a solution and the [ESS electrostatic] sprayer provides us with that."
— John Meshad
Head Equipment Manager, University of Georgia Football

"EO water [electrolyzed oxidative water] was found to be effective when used in conjunction with electrostatic spraying for eliminating pathogenic and indicator populations of bacteria from hatching eggs."
— Scott Russell
Professor, Department of Poultry Science University of Georgia
